Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Farming, MN for Raymond T. Rolfes, age 88, who died Monday at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center. Burial will be in the St. Catherine’s Church Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Farming Community Center. Parish Prayers will be at 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Friday morning in the Farming Community Center. Arrangements are with the Wenner Funeral Home, Richmond, MN.

Raymond was born in Farming, MN to Rudolph and Bertha (Behnen) Rolfes. He married Dolores Burg on October 1, 1953 in St Catherine’s Catholic Church in Farming. Raymond served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 as an MP in Seoul, Korea during the Korean War. He farmed most of his life on the family farm Southeast of Farming and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing the family Bullament card game monthly, or as needed. He was a member of Cold Spring VFW and American Legion, Richmond Knights of Columbus, Catholic Order of Foresters and Farming Sportsman Club.

Survivors include his children, Gerald, Donna Mae (Theodore) Bruemmer, Dorine (Lloyd) Rausch, Ronald (Sherry), Charlene (Jeffery) Wanek, Joseph (Jennifer), Mary (James) Kulzer; siblings, Martha (Art) Fasen, Therese Backes, Andrew Rolfes, Leora (Jackie) Burg, Irene Schmidt.; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dolores (2002); sister, Alma and his great-granddaughter, Isabelle Rausch.
