The Texas Rangers hammered the Twins 9-3 Friday night at Target Field with a consistent rain most of the night.  Brian Duensing allowed 7 hits and 7 runs in 2 innings to take the loss and drop to 3-6.  Only 3 of the runs Duensing allowed were earned.  Drew Butera led the Twins at the plate going 3-4 with a run scored and 1 RBI and Michael Cuddyer was 2-2 with 1 RBI for the Twins.  Anthony Swarzak replaced Duensing and allowed just 2 earned runs in 6 innings.  Minnesota is 24-39 and will host Texas again today at 3:10, pregame on WJON at 2:35.  Righthander Scott Baker (3-4) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and righthander Colby Lewis (5-6) toes the rubber for the Rangers.
