RANDALL -- A Randall man has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly shot another man Tuesday.

The Morrison County Attorney's Office says 25-year-old Kyle St. Martin-Smith invited Ryan Deters into his home in Randall where St. Martin-Smith attacked him.

Deters told police that "he was hit in the head with a wooden object, then St. Martin-Smith yelled it was time for him to die." He continued to say St. Martin-Smith then pulled out a handgun, fired a few shots and hit him in the arm.

St. Martin-Smith was arrested and charged with Attempted First Degree Murder, First Degree Assault and Second Degree Assault.

This (Friday) morning St. Martin-Smith was seen before a Morrison County District Court Judge who set unconditional bail of $500,000 and conditional bail of $200,000, which includes no contact with the victim or the victim's mother.

Deters was treated for his injury and remains hospitalized.
