UNDATED -- The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission is hosting a series of public hearings in Central Minnesota on the proposed new transmission line.

The CAPX2020 energy utilities want to build a new electric transmission line from Fargo to St. Cloud.

Hearings in our region will be tomorrow (Tuesday) from 12:30 until 3:30 p.m. at Sauk Centre City Hall and also from 6:30 until 9:30 p.m. at the Melrose school auditorium.

On Wednesday from 12:30 until 3:30 p.m. in Albany at Paul's Par-A-Dice.

And on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the El Paso in St. Joseph and from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. at the St. Cloud Holiday Inn.

Construction is expected to begin in 2014 and be completed an in service by early 2015.

The line from Monticello to St. Cloud is already under construction.
