Propane Heater Ignites Fire In Storage Container in South St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD - A propane heater started a fire in St. Cloud last (Thursday) night.

Battalion Chief Greg Newinski says the call came in at about 11:20 p.m. for a fire in a storage container at a construction site near the intersection of Cooper Avenue and University Drive.

The 8-foot by 20'-foot container was fully engulfed by the time crews arrived.

The damage estimate is about $12,000.

The Fire Marshal is investigating.
