Princeton Man Arrested For Allegedly Killing Family Dog

PRINCETON -- A Princeton man has been arrested for allegedly torturing and killing the family dog.

The incident happened on Monday in the 29000 block of 144th Street Northwest in Baldwin Township.

Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott says they received a complaint of the mistreatment, torture and killing of a family dog.

Investigators issued a search warrant for the home where they found items that indicated 24-year-old Anthony Sather tortured and killed the dog.

Deputies say they also found some marijuana and 300 pills which were not prescribed to Sather.

Sather was arrested and taken to the Sherburne County Jail for mistreatment of animals and 5th degree controlled substance crimes.

He was arraigned in Sherburne County District Court where he being held on $250,000 bail.
