Power Outage Hits Valleyfair
SHAKOPEE (AP) — The power is back on after an outage stranded people on rides at Valleyfair amusement park in Shakopee.
Xcel Energy spokeswoman Mary Sandok says the power was restored at 6 p.m. Tuesday after being out for about an hour and a half.
Sandok says an Xcel equipment failure caused the outage.
Valleyfair spokesman Todd Larkin says that maintenance workers escorted people from the rides.
Larkin says the fair is closed for the night.
No injuries are reported.
