POW Recognition Ceremony to be Held in St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD - A ceremony honoring Minnesota's former Prisoners of War will be held tomorrow (Friday) in St. Cloud.  The event will start at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Cloud VA Health Care System.  More than 30 former POWs will be recognized.

The keynote speaker will be Kevin Hermening.  He was the youngest of the Americans held hostage for 444 days at the U.S. Embassy in Iran from 1979 to 1981.

More than half a million Americans have been captured and held as Prisoners of War since the American Revolution.
