The Postal Service says in Minnesota, it will move processing from Duluth and Rochester to St. Paul and processing operations in Waite Park, Mankato and Bemidji to Minneapolis.
The retail operations at the facilities will remain open. It’s not immediately known how many jobs will be affected.
The Postal Service has previously said 252 processing sites might be closed as mail volume declines. The Postal Service’s most recent quarterly loss was $3.3 billion.
