MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A new poll shows most Minnesotans surveyed about shopping at Target after a huge data breach continue to spend their money at the retail chain.

A Minnesota Poll by the Star Tribune finds 82 percent of respondents are shopping at Target as often as they did before data thieves infiltrated the Minneapolis-based company.

Eleven percent of those surveyed say they don't shop as often at Target after the data breach. Experts believe thieves gained access during the busy holiday season to about 40 million credit and debit card numbers and the personal information of as many as 70 million customers.

The Star Tribune interviewed 800 Minnesota adults by phone last week. The poll has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
