WINONA, Minn. (AP) - Winona police say a wedding ring with a value estimated at $65,000 was reported missing from the hand of a resident at an extended health care facility.

The Winona Police Department said in news release that it responded to a theft complaint at the facility Wednesday. According to police, an employee said she noticed the resident's wedding ring was missing from her finger and reported the incident.

Police say the ring was last seen on the woman's hand Sunday and was noticed missing Tuesday. According to police, the ring was described as having a 4-carat diamond center stone with diamonds channeled around the stone in three platinum bands.
