ST. CLOUD - A Waite Park resident is facing charges after police say he caused a four vehicle crash. The incident happened at about 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of 25th Avenue and 10th Street North in St. Cloud.

Sixty-two-year-old Sudi Hirabe of Waite Park was going north on 25th Avenue when the car allegedly ran a stop sign and struck a vehicle going west on 10th Street. Hirabe's vehicle then struck a stopped vehicle at the stop sign, which caused that vehicle to overturn onto its side, and striking a fourth vehicle stopped behind it.

The first vehicle was driven by a 23-year-old man from St. Cloud. He was not hurt. The second vehicle was driven by a 52-year-old woman from St. Cloud. She was pulled out of her car through the sunroof, and had minor injuries. The third vehicle was driven by a 47-year-old man from St. Cloud. He and his two kids were not hurt. Hirabe was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say Hirabe is facing charges of failing to stop at a stop sign.
