FARIBAULT(AP) - Police in Faribault say two girls have been identified as suspects in vandalism at a cemetery.

About a dozen gravesites were spray painted at Maple Lawn Cemetery on Monday.

Faribault Police Chief Andy Bohlen says the parents of the two girls, ages 10 and 11, are cooperating with police and brought the girls in to speak to detectives.

Bohlen says a clue came from a phone number written in marker on a headstone.

Investigators called the boy whose number was listed, and he told them the girls did not like him.

Some of the spray paint was able to be removed, while other headstones may need to be replaced.

A repair fund has been set up.

The case will be forwarded to the county attorney for review.
