ST. CLOUD - Three people were arrested early Wednesday morning after reports of threats being made to a clerk at a St. Cloud gas station.

St. Cloud Police were called just after 2:45 a.m. to the Super America in the 700 block of East St. Germain after hearing reports of threats being made with a handgun.

Officers learned that 18-year-old Nicholas Blake from Coon Rapids and 21-year-old Jordan Eng from Coon Rapids allegedly entered the store and shoplifted food and candy.

Eng left the store with the items while a clerk confronted Blake, who then allegedly took out a replica BB-gun from his waistband and started "waiving it around". He dropped the items on the ground and told the clerk he would be back.

Both Eng and Blake were found with the BB-gun by police in a vehicle at 9th Avenue and 1st Street South. Police say they also found a bag of marijuana.

Another passenger, 23-year-old Justin Philpot of St. Cloud was found to have brass knuckles.

Blake and Eng were taken to Benton County Jail. Blake was held on charges of felony terroristic threats and unlawful possession of a firearm. Eng was cited for misdemeanor theft by shoplifting. Philpot was taken to Stearns County Jail and charged with possession of a dangerous weapon regarding brass knuckles.

Police believe there may have been witnesses to the incident at the store who left before they arrived. Anyone who witnessed the incident should contact St. Cloud Police at 320-251-1200, or the Tri-County Crime Stoppers at 320-255-1301.
