EDINA (AP)  Police say a man stole a bait package left on a porch in Edina.

A police spokeswoman says the 36-year-old man was arrested early Thursday when he allegedly took the package from a resident's porch in the Minneapolis suburb.

With the resident's permission, police had placed the package that looked like a computer laptop box on Dec. 6. But a GPS tracker was hidden inside.

Reports say police received an alert when the package began to move. Police stopped the suspect and discovered more packages in his car.
