SAUK RAPIDS - The Benton County Sheriff's Department has arrested three people on various charges.

Officials say they watched a vehicle leave a home on Golden Spike Road and stop in the Sauk Rapids Post Office parking lot at about 5:30 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday).

The driver was 26-year-old Christopher Schuman of Little Falls. He had an outstanding arrest warrant out on him in Morrison County. He was arrested and taken to the Benton County Jail.

Members of the Central Minnesota Violent Offenders Task Force then used a search warrant at the home at 2400 Golden Spike Road.  They found 19-year-old Melanie Quick of Willmar.  Quick had outstanding warrants in Todd and Benton Counties.

Also in the home was 33-year-old Lazaro Diaz. He was arrested for allegedly being involved in a stabbing incident in St. Cloud several weeks ago.  He was taken to the Stearns County Jail.

Officials say they found a number of items associated with the use and sale of methamphetamine, along with an undetermined amount of meth, in the home. They also found guns there.
