ST. CLOUD -- Have you ever wanted to be a cop? Well here is your chance.

The St. Cloud Police Reserve program is now accepting applications for new members.

Reserves are community members that assist licensed police officers on duty. All applicants must be over 18 years old, a U.S citizen or have a work visa and a valid driver's license and be in good physical condition.

The reserve program is made up of 25 community members who are expected to attend one monthly training meeting and volunteer a minimum of eight hours of ride time each month.

As a reserve officer, you will be trained on self-defense, firearms, Tasers and many other areas.

Applications can be found by visiting scpdreserves.com or at the front desk of the police department. Applications must be turned in by May 15th.
