MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Authorities say police officers have shot and wounded a man who drove at them at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Reports say the suspect was shot about 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the Hertz rental car area.

Spokesman Patrick Hogan says airport police received a call about two suspicious people on Level 2 of the parking ramp at Terminal 1. He says the suspects were uncooperative, and one of them was shot and taken to a hospital.

According to Hennepin County sheriff's spokeswoman Lisa Kiava, a vehicle intentionally drove at the officers, who were on foot. Kiava says officers fired on the vehicle.

An officer also was hurt. Kiava says both the driver and the officer are expected to survive.

The Hennepin County crime lab is helping investigate.
