MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minneapolis police say the shooting that left one person dead and seven others injured was the result of feuding by rival gangs.

Deputy Chief Bruce Folkens says gang members are becoming more brazen, more violent and are engaging in violence with more frequency. The shooting Wednesday night happened several blocks from the Fourth Precinct.

Police reportedly say two of the seven injured are in critical, but stable condition. Folkens says more than four dozen shell casings were recovered from the scene. The injured include four men and three women ranging in age from 20 to 27 years old.
