Police: Man, Woman Arrested After Allegedly Stealing Car

ST. CLOUD - Two people have been arrested after they were caught allegedly driving in a stolen vehicle.

St. Cloud police say an officer spotted a vehicle that had been reported stolen going east in the 600 block of East St. Germain Street at about 9:45 p.m. Thursday night. The vehicle was reported stolen about two hours earlier from a business in the 1800 block of 7th Street North. The vehicle abruptly turned into an alley in the 10 block of 7th Avenue Northeast. When the officer caught up to the vehicle he found the car empty, but saw a man and a women running. After a short foot chase, the officer caught the man. Other officers helped set-up a perimeter and eventually found the woman as well.

The man has been identified as 29-year-old Anthony Storstad of St. Cloud. The woman is 27-year-old Megan Scholtes of St. Cloud.

They have both been taken to the Benton County Jail.
