ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud police are looking for a 14-year-old boy who ran away from the Stearns County Courthouse prior to his hearing this morning (Wednesday).

The incident happened at about 10:00 a.m. near 7th Avenue North and 2nd Street North after the teenager had escaped from transport personnel.

Police say the boy was being taken from the Kid's Peace Mesabi Academy Juvenile Correctional Facility in Buhl Minnesota to a court hearing in St. Cloud.

The boy then ran from their custody after arriving at the courthouse.

He was last seen running north from the intersection of 7th Avenue and 2nd Street North still wearing handcuffs and a transport belt.

The Stearns County K9 unit was called in to help find the boy but were unsuccessful.

Police are asking for your help in finding the boy. He is described as a black male, about 5' 8" tall, weighing 145 pounds and wearing a green shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

The court hearing was for a gross misdemeanor indecent exposure and providing false information to police that happened in 2013 in Stearns County.
