ST. CLOUD -- Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly assaulted and robbed a St. Cloud man last week.

The St. Cloud Police Department says the incident happened shortly after 2:30 a.m. Friday morning in the 600 block of 9th Avenue South.

A 22-year-old man and two of his friends were walking home when several men in a black car yelled at them as they passed. Minutes later, four of the men from the car approached the victim's group on foot.

One of the men hit the victim in the back of the head and punched him several times before taking his cell phone and other items.

The victim was treated at St. Cloud Hospital for minor injuries.

The victim says he does not know the suspects, but he may have seen them earlier that night in a bar downtown.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-20s, six feet tall and about 200 pounds with tattoos. He was wearing a white t-shirt with shorts and a yellow baseball hat.
