Police Jail Man After Domestic Assault

ST. CLOUD -- Police arrested a St. Cloud man Wednesday night after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend.

Officers were called to the 2700 block of 16th Street South at 8:00 p.m. A 21-year-old St. Cloud woman told police she had been assaulted by 21-year-old Cortez Stanley.

The woman had minor injuries but refused medical attention.

Stanley had left the scene by the time police arrived, but was found about an hour later in downtown St. Cloud and jailed on suspicion of domestic assault and domestic assault by strangulation.
