ST. PAUL -- Police and animal control authorities in St. Paul are investigating multiple reports of dog poisonings.

Dog owners in the Frogtown and Hamline-Midway areas reported last week that they found biscuits embedded with rat poison in their yards. Two dogs received immediate veterinary care and recovered. One of the dog's owners told the newspaper that she's heard about a dozen stories of dogs poisoned with similar biscuits in the community.

Molly Lunaris, a St. Paul animal control officer, said police and animal control officials are looking into the reports, which have been circulating on social media. She said police were taking another report of a poisoned dog on Friday but it was likely a previous case being reported now.
