Police Investigating 2 Fatal Crashes in Twin Cities
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota State Patrol says two motorists were killed in separate accidents in the Twin Cities early Sunday morning.
The first crash happened at about 2 a.m. Sunday at an intersection in Burnsville. The State Patrol says a 25-year-old Bloomington man suspected of drunk driving struck another vehicle, sending both cars down an embankment.
The other car's driver, 34-year-old Erin Randall of Richfield, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second crash occurred at about 3 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 694 in Anoka County. The State Patrol says 23-year-old Matthew Roessler of Brooklyn Park died when he drove the wrong way down the highway and his vehicle hit another car head-on.
Both of the fatal crashes remain under investigation.
