EAGAN (AP) - An Eagan man has been charged with 27 misdemeanor counts in connection to thousands of online photographs of girls.

Egan police said Tuesday that 20-year-old Tyler Sauve was charged Monday in Dakota County court with counts including disorderly conduct, defamation and public nuisance. They say the girls were clothed and the roughly 2,100 photos weren't pornographic, but they were taken without the subjects' knowledge.

Police say Sauve had no physical contact with the subjects, who included a 13-year-old relative, other young girls and women working at a Jimmy John's restaurant. They say the photos were sometimes posted with sexual comments.

Sauve tells investigators he was "sneaky" about taking the photos and the subjects would be "really upset" if they found out.

Police say Sauve has removed the photos from the sharing site.
