MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minneapolis police say a driver going the wrong way on a street near the University of Minnesota campus struck and injured three pedestrians walking on a sidewalk early Friday.

Police say all three victims were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where one man is in critical condition and the other two, both women, are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Deb Bagley of Minneapolis says her 22-year-old daughter, Sarah, was one of the three struck on the sidewalk.

Bagley says her daughter was out with friends celebrating their upcoming graduation and they were on their way home when they were hit. She says Sarah heard a car accelerating down the street, but doesn't remember anything after that.

Police are looking for the driver, but say they don't have a definitive description of the vehicle.
