BECKER -- A high speed chase in a stolen vehicle lead to the arrest of an Andover man last night (Wednesday).

The incident started at about 10:30 p.m. on Highway 10 in Becker. Becker Police says they tried to stop a vehicle heading west on Highway 10 going over 100 mph.

The pursuit continued westbound on Highway 10 into Benton County when officers learned the vehicle was stolen and the driver maybe suicidal.

Benton County Sheriff deputies and the Rice police department joined in the pursuit after the driver turned off Highway 10 onto Benton County Road 2 into the city of Rice.

During the chase the driver lost control of the vehicle and went into the ditch where police were able to take the driver into custody.

23-year-old Jordan Kawlewski was treated for his injuries at the scene before being booked into the Sherburne County Jail.

He awaits charges of felony fleeing police in a motor vehicle, felony possession of stolen property, and gross Misdemeanor driving after causing danger to public safety.

Details of the pursuit are still under investigation and the crash is being reviewed by the State patrol.
