ST. PAUL (AP) — St. Paul police say they are investigating after a body was found in a wooded area near Minnehaha Avenue.

Police say the body was wrapped in a blanket.

Police say they responded to the woods after they got a call about 9 p.m. Saturday about a possible dead baby in the area. Police Sgt. Paul Paulos says the body is not that of a baby, but authorities haven’t confirmed anything else about the victim.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to confirm the person’s identity.

Police are seeking the public’s help as they try to find out what happened, and locate a suspect.
