ROSEVILLE (AP) - It didn't take long for police to catch up with a bank robbery suspect in Roseville. In fact, it took just 12 minutes.

Surveillance video from the North American Bank Co. shows a suspect holding up an employee about 11 a.m. Tuesday. The man got away with an undisclosed amount of money. Police say officers responding to the bank robbery spotted a man fitting the description of the suspect slamming the trunk of a car parked about 600 feet away.

Dash cam video shows officers, with weapons drawn, closing in on the suspect in what likely seems to be record time.

Police say the man was wearing a bullet proof vest and confessed to the robbery.
