ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud Police had to use a taser while trying to arrest a Honolulu, Hawaii man after he tried to flee during a traffic stop.

An officer stopped 35-year-old Bryan Bakken Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Cooper Avenue and Highway 23 because of a suspended license.

A passenger on Bakken's motorcycle got off the back and when the officer tried to I.D. Bakken police say he tried to drive away. The officer pulled Bakken off the bike. Bakken allegedly ran and tried to climb a fence at Hansen Floor Gallery. Two employees pushed Bakken back so the officer could "tase" him and make the arrest.

Bakken was arrested on charges of fleeing police, driving after suspension, no proof of insurance, obstructing legal process and an outstanding warrant. His passenger, 36-year-old Rita Ochs of St. Cloud was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Stearns County.
