OAK PARK HEIGHTS, Minn. (AP) - Oak Park Heights police say they've made an arrest in the city's first homicide in 16 years.

Officers found the body of 39-year-old Nils Christian Johnson in his town house early Tuesday morning.

In a news release, police Chief Brian DeRosier says a 24-year-old suspect was arrested late Thursday in Matteson, Illinois on suspicion of second degree murder.

The chief says a warrant was issued for the man's arrest based on information developed during the initial missing person investigation and homicide investigation.

Authorities are expected to interview the suspect and begin the process for extradition to Minnesota.

The last homicide in Oak Park Heights was in October 1998.
