SOUTH ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Police say a father and his two young sons have died in a house fire in South St. Paul.

Authorities say the 60-year-old father and two-year-old son died at the scene of the fire which was first reported at 9 p.m. Tuesday. The man's 5-year-old son died later at a St. Paul hospital.

Assistant Police Chief Mark Erickson says the father and the two children were found on the second floor of the house.

Police say it appears the fire started in the basement garage area. South St. Paul police, the South Metro Fire Department and the state fire marshal are investigating.

The fire was the second deadly blaze this month involving young victims. Six-year-old Latorious Thomas, 5-year-old Latoria Thomas and 23-month-old Latorianna Thomas died in Minneapolis house fire Oct. 3.
