ST. CLOUD - A 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg Monday night in south St. Cloud. Police say the incident happened just before 11:30 in the 600 block of 11th Street South.

Officers were called to a report of a gunshot, and when the arrived witnesses say several people were seen running from the area, including a male that was limping. Police checked they area but couldn't find a victim or a suspect.

About a half hour later offers responded to a home in the 1000 block of 10 1/2 Avenue South to a report of a boy with a gunshot wound.

Police say the 15-year-old is visiting from Moorhead and had a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the lower leg. He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital.

The victim has been limited in his cooperation with police, but at this point the shooting is not believed to be random.

It is not believed that anyone else was hurt in the shooting.
