UNDATED – MnDOT officials encourage you to plan ahead before heading out on the road for the fishing opener.

You can make sure the only thing you catch this weekend are fish, not traffic jams, by using the state’s 511 information line, or logging on to 511mn.org.

MnDOT says a few trouble areas this weekend include: Highway 23 between St. Cloud and Foley, Highway 10 between Big Lake and Clear Lake, and Highway 10 between Little Falls and Royalton.
