Pine Meadow Elementary & La Casita Awarded for Food Safety

ST. CLOUD -- An area elementary school and restaurant have been recognized for their achievements in food safety.

Pine Meadow Elementary School in Sartell and La Casita Mexican Restaurant in Waite Park were presented the 2015 Food Safety Awards at Tuesday's Stearns County Board of Commissioners meeting.

Each year since 2003, the Stearns County Environmental Services Department has recognized one school and one restaurant in the county for their "outstanding performance in the area food safety."

Carole Michalek and Deb Ertl of Pine Meadow Elementary, and Mike Kelly and Todd Fritz, co-owners of La Casita, accepted the awards.
