ST. CLOUD - A new bar and restaurant is coming to downtown St. Cloud.  The city council approved a full liquor license for "The Pickled Loon", which will be going into the former McRudy's Pub building at 715 West St. Germain Street.

The city council denied their request back in August, because one of the applicants was the former manager of McRudy's.

The new application had that person removed from any ownership.

Christopher "Buddy" Jost, Rhiannon Johnson and Michael Illies say they plan to have the bar opened by November 1st.

The business plan for The Pickled Loon is more of an adult bar, similar to the White Horse, with 60 percent food and 40 percent liquor sales.

The building has been vacant since June, when the owners of McRudy's closed the bar prior to being denied the renewal of their liquor license.
