Phone Scam Grabs Attention of Browerville Resident

BROWERVILLE — Reports of another phone scam has hit Todd County.

A Browerville resident told the Todd County Sheriff’s Office they received a phone call that a family member owed money on a court file.

The scammer told the resident that if they did not pay they would be arrest.

The Browerville resident did not give out any personal information or money knowing it was a scam.

The Todd County Sheriff’s Offices says to used caution with these types of phone calls and to report any such scams to your local law enforcement.
