Phom Sithiphong, 61, St. Cloud

Phom Sithiphong, age 61, St. Cloud, MN, died Sunday, August 16, 2015 at her home in St. Cloud.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.

Phom was born June 2, 1954 in Savannakhet, Laos to Touy and Chom Phothirath. She escaped from Laos in the late 1970’s and came to the United States in 1980. Phom married Phoumy Sithiphong on October 9, 2010 in LeSauk Township, Stearns County, Minnesota.

Phom worked two full time jobs to make enough money to bring her family to the United States. She was studying towards her high school degree. Phom was a great gardener, cook, friend, neighbor, wife and mother. She was always ready to help others and was very giving.

Survivors include her husband, Phoumy Sithiphong of St. Cloud, MN; sons, Bounthavy Phothirath, Simon (Bonnie) Phoz, Khankeo Phothirath, step son Phouvady Sithiphong, step daughter, Saymathy; sister, Manakene Sounthala; nine grandchildren and many other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
