A gathering of family and friends will be from 4-7PM on Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud to celebrate the life of Peter “Pete” J. Collier, 73, of St. Cloud who passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016.

Pete was born on December 19, 1942 in Minneapolis to Peter M. and Evelyn (Mannerberg) Collier. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves. Pete married the love of his life, Susan “Sue” Nyberg, on September 12, 1964 in St. Paul. The couple owned and operated The Country Pump gas station and convenience store in Garrison, MN for over 20 years. Pete was a member of the Eagles Aerie 622; where he enjoyed getting together with friends. He also enjoyed golf and bowling on the Tuesday Senior Men’s League. Pete was an avid Minnesota Timberwolves and Vikings fan; he held purple and gold season tickets for 35 years and attended the 1975 Super Bowl. Most importantly, Pete had a contagious smile and sense of humor, but nothing meant more to him than his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Pete is survived by wife, Sue of St. Cloud; children, Jennifer (Richard Evans) Collier of Boca Raton, FL, Chad Collier of Rogers; best friend, Dan (Chrissy) Haggerty of St. Cloud; brother, Gregory (Phyllis) Collier of Shakopee; grandchildren, Lauryn and Kayla Collier, and Harper Evans; and dear puppy, Bella.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the St. Cloud Humane Society or the American Heart Association.
