Meet Max and Belle. Two friendly and child loving pets patiently awaiting for their fur-ever homes.

Max is a 1 ½ year old Lhasa Apso mix. Even though the weather is getting nicer, he still prefers a sweater. That’s because Max had a lot of long fur and was quite matted when he came to the shelter and he was recently groomed. Max’s new short “puppy cut” looks great and will be much easier to maintain. Max still needs some work on house-training, but he is eager to please and will respond to consistency and positive reinforcement. Max came from a home with kids and did very well with them. This dog is super playful and is just waiting for a new loving companion to come take him home and play with him.

Belle is 6 years old and is spayed. She has been patiently waiting to go home for over three months. She was surrendered to the shelter because she was scratching the sheetrock in the garage where she was kept. Belle would love an indoor home with scratching posts for her innate need for communicating and nail upkeep. In her previous home she was accustomed to small children and kept clear of the dogs. She was described as a quiet companion who enjoys snuggling. If Belle’s story makes your heart ring, please stop by PetSmart to visit her today!
