Perkins Restaurant Near Crossroads Mall Getting a Facelift

ST. CLOUD - The Perkins Family Restaurant on Park Avenue near Crossroads Shopping Center in St. Cloud is getting a shiny new look.

And, it's only the second Perkins in the country, after one in Dubuque Iowa, to make the design transition.

Adam Zimny is Perkins' owner. He says they shut down on Sunday to gut the restaurant and update it with new lighting, new restrooms and an overhauled electrical system.

The goal, Zimny says, is to update both the look and feel of the restaurant chain. He says it's a strictly cosmetic change, and Perkins will still serve guests 24 hours a day with the same menu.

Perkins will reopen on Friday for breakfast.
