Mike Pelfrey threw three strong innings and the Twins topped the Orioles 4-1 yesterday in Fort Myers. Pelfrey struck out four and walked none while allowing two hits in his three inning outing.

Trevor Plouffe highlighted the offense for Minnesota with a pair of doubles, and Joe Mauer was 2-3 with an RBI.

The Twins host the Pirates Wednesday at noon.
