Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Cab in Downtown St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD - A St. Cloud man was struck and killed by a cab in downtown St. Cloud early Sunday morning.

Police say just before 2:00 a.m. 33-year-old Timothy Martin was crossing 5th Avenue between the Press Bar and Le St. Germain Hotel, outside of the crosswalk, when he was struck by a Tuxedo Taxi Cab.  Martin fell backwards and struck the back of his head, causing significant head trauma.

Martin was taken to St. Cloud Hospital where he later died.

The driver of the cab was 22-year-old Dylan Gnoinsky of St. Cloud.  He is not facing any charges at this time.
