UPDATE: State Patrol Identifies Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Highway 10 in east St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD - A pedestrian has been struck and killed in east St. Cloud.

The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened just before 7:30 p.m. this (Friday) evening on Highway 10, near Highway 23.

A pickup driven by 27-year-old Sabrina Rassmussen of Montrose struck a person on the road. The truck was traveling northbound on Highway 10 when the pedestrian walked out into the left lane of traffic and was hit.

Rassmussen was not hurt. Her passenger, 28-year-old Paul Mitchell of Montrose, also was not hurt.

The pedestrian who was killed has been identified as 55-year-old Mark Schafer of St. Cloud.
