ST. PAUL  (AP) -- Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty is touring the TV dial as the Republican works to promote his new book and gain exposure while exploring a run for president.

Pawlenty was due to appear Tuesday on ABC's "Good Morning America" and its network talk show "The View." Cable programs on Fox News Channel and CNN were also on tap. Wednesday's stops include Fox, MSNBC, CNBC and Comedy Central's "The Daily Show."

Tuesday is the official release of Pawlenty's autobiography, "Courage to Stand." The book traces Pawlenty's path from his childhood in South St. Paul to the short list for vice president in 2008.

Pawlenty uses the book to criticize President Barack Obama and to lay out his own policy vision. He says he won't decide on 2012 until March or April.
