Pauline Phyllis (Duckworth) Hildebrant was born January 16, 1925 in Westernport, Maryland and graduated from Bruce High School in 1942. She married Dean F. Hildebrant of Crandall, South Dakota May 5, 1943 at Camp Henderson, Kentucky. They farmed in rural South Dakota until 1956 when they moved to Aberdeen, South Dakota. Pauline worked at Tiffany Laundry, Kessler’s Super Value and Weber Floral before beginning daycare in her home in 1970 which she continued until 1995. After Dean’s passing in 2000, she volunteered for Foster Grandparents and worked at the YMCA daycare center until 2007 when she moved to Princeton, MN to be near her children, grand and great-grandchildren.

Pauline was an avid gardener and raised African Violets which she gave to everyone. She was known as Gee Gee to her grandkids and will be remembered for her quick wit, love of the Twins and Vikings and Cubs and her “wild kingdom” of animals at her rural Princeton home. Pauline was known for her many and varied sweatshirts and pants that fit her small frame.

She is survived by her daughter Jeanette (Gary) Nehls of Princeton; son Dan Doc (Shirley) Hildebrant of Little Falls; and Frances Joy Mulhern daughter, companion and caregiver of Princeton; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and brother in-law Lynn Hildebrant of Conde, SD. She is preceded in death by her husband Dean; parents; 10 siblings; son in-law Gary Nehls; and granddaughter Carrie Hildebrant.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 2, 2015 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Princeton with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen, SD Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 3:00 PM.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Aberdeen Foster Grandparent Program. Attendees are asked to wear their favorite sweatshirt to honor her at this service. (No Yankees or Packers allowed)
