ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - The Minnesota State Patrol says a woman may have been crawling across a Twin Cities freeway when she was struck and killed.

St. Paul police were called Friday night and found the body of 28-year-old Emily Boone on the southbound shoulder of Interstate 35E. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

State Patrol spokeswoman Lt. Tiffani Nielson says Boone appears to have been alone when she fell to the highway from a 15-foot retaining wall, and may have been crawling when she was hit.

Police are asking for help from the public in finding the vehicle that struck Boone. Authorities say the driver might not have known that a person had been struck.
