Patricia R. Hlebain, 87, St. Stephen

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in St. Stephen for Patricia R. Hlebain, age 87 of St. Stephen who passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Sterling Park Health Care Center in Waite Park. Reverend Robert Harren will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud and after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Parish prayers will be 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Patricia was born on May 14, 1927 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to John and Aurelia (Theisen) Murphy. She attended St. Cloud State University and taught elementary school for 12 years. Pat was later employed as a bookkeeper for McMahon and Hartman for 29 years, retiring in 1990. She was united in marriage to Frank Hlebain on December 17, 1976 at St. John Cantius Catholic Church, St. Cloud. Pat lived in St. Stephen all of her married life. She was a member of St. Stephen Parish, Holy Rosary Society and the St. Stephen American Legion Auxiliary.

Pat is survived by her stepchildren, Richard of St. Joseph, Rosie Huls of Sartell and Gerri Joyce and her husband Jack of Moraga, California; daughter-in-law, Anne Hlebain DeFoe and her husband Joseph DeFoe of Royalton; seven grandchildren, Mollie Newman, Ben Huls, Kerry, Kenny and Jacob Hlebain, John and Thomas Joyce; five great grandchildren, Kyrsten, Jenna, Austin, Dylan and Rylie.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank on February 22, 2000; stepson, Michael Hlebain; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Hlebain; brothers, Richard and Alan.
