Company in Fatal Stadium Accident has Past Safety Citations

Records show a subcontractor involved in a fatal accident at the Minnesota Viking stadium construction site has received numerous citations for violating safety standards at its worksites. Berwald Roofing Co. has a $3.4 million contract for work at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Zimmerman Hunter Pleads Guilty to Poaching 13 Deer

A Zimmerman man has pled guilty to a 2014 case of illegally taking multiple deer from the Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge. On November 1st, 2014, a Minnesota DNR officer found Michael Walz, his wife and their daughter in the Refuge with a recently illegally killed 6-point buck.

Wright County Woman Crowned Princess Kay of the Milky Way

A 19-year-old college student from Howard Lake has been crowned the 62nd Princess Kay of the Milky Way. Kyla Mauk, who represented Wright County, won the title in a ceremony Wednesday night at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

St. Cloud State University and the city of St. Cloud will officially close of the land swap for George Friedrich Park tomorrow (Friday). St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis and University President Earl Potter III will hold a signing ceremony in the park, located approximately at 1908 University Drive Southeast, at 2:00 p.m.
